It builds the knowledge and analytical skills to identify sustainability-related risks and opportunities, apply financial materiality, analyse and normalise sustainability data, and connect sustainability information with corporate performance, investment decisions and valuation.

The Two-Level Preparation Pathway

01 — FSA® Credential Level I Preparation

Build a strong foundation in the need for sustainability disclosure standards, the sustainability information ecosystem, the IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, and the corporate and investor use of material sustainability information.

02 — FSA® Credential Level II Preparation

Develop advanced application and analysis skills to identify sustainability-related risks and opportunities affecting a company’s financial position, performance and prospects; normalise sustainability data; and connect sustainability information with revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, cost of capital and valuation.

FSA® Exams at a Glance

The FSA® Credential is earned by passing two separate examinations. The University of Sarajevo provides preparation only; the examinations are administered separately through Pearson VUE, the IFRS Foundation’s official testing partner.

Minutes Each

Level I: 110 multiple-choice questions
Level II: 55 multiple-choice questions associated with 13 cases

Both examinations include single- and multiple-answer questions, with Level II placing greater emphasis on case-based application and analysis.

Online

Take each examination at a Pearson VUE test centre or online with a remote proctor through Pearson OnVUE.

Year-Round Online Exam Access

When examination registration is purchased through the University of Sarajevo’s Approved Education Provider route, candidates can register, schedule and take each examination online throughout the year—without waiting for one of the three standard testing windows.

Maximum Three Attempts per Level

Each registration includes one examination attempt. A candidate may take Level I a maximum of three times and Level II a maximum of three times. A new registration and examination fee are required after an unsuccessful attempt, with a 60-day waiting period between attempts

Your Preparation and Credential Journey

1. Complete Level I Preparation

Build the knowledge and exam readiness required for Level I — Principles & Practices. On completion, receive a University of Sarajevo Certificate of Completion showing the approved CPD hours.

2. Pass the Level I Exam

Take the examination separately through Pearson VUE, the IFRS Foundation’s official testing partner. After passing, become an FSA Level II Candidate and be listed in the IFRS Foundation’s online FSA Credential directory

3. Complete Level II Preparation

Develop the application and analysis skills needed for Level II. On completion, receive a second University of Sarajevo Certificate of Completion showing the approved CPD hours.

4. Pass the Level II Exam

Pass Level II within two years of passing Level I to become an FSA Credential Holder and be listed in the IFRS Foundation’s online directory

Required Examination
Registration

A paid examination registration for the corresponding FSA® level is required before enrolment is confirmed. Candidates may purchase the examination through the University of Sarajevo at the applicable preferential Approved Education Provider fee, or purchase it independently before enrolling and provide the information required for verification.
