FSA® Credential Level II Exam Preparation:

Sustainability Analysis & Financial Valuation

/ Evaluate What Matters. Compare with Context. Connect Performance to Value.

Course
Description

This advanced preparation course builds the application and analysis skills required for the FSA® Credential Level II examination. Built around the licensed FSA Credential Level II curriculum, it examines how company- and industry-specific circumstances shape sustainability-related risks and opportunities, how sustainability-related financial information can be normalised for meaningful peer and industry comparison, and how sustainability performance may affect revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities and cost of capital.

Through structured learning, company and industry examples, case-based exercises, exam-focused practice questions and a personalised study plan, participants learn to assess financial effects and connect sustainability information with financial analysis, investment decision-making and valuation.

Learning
Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

evaluate how industry characteristics, company-specific circumstances, external operating context, governance and management practices influence sustainability-related risks and opportunities affecting a company’s financial position, performance and prospects;

apply the Five Factors framework to assess sustainability-related risks and opportunities, including their potential interrelationships and implications for company performance;

normalise sustainability-related financial information and analyse data distribution, outliers, data quality and industry dispersion to support meaningful peer comparisons and analysis over time;

compare companies’ sustainability performance in the context of their operating environment, strategy, governance and risk-management decisions;

connect sustainability metrics with potential financial effects on revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities and cost of capital, and translate the resulting insights into valuation model adjustments; and

demonstrate Level II application and analysis skills through case-based, exam-focused practice questions and exercises.
