Course Description

The FSA® Credential, developed by the IFRS Foundation, is the most advanced credential related to the ISSB Standards. It’s a two-part exam for preparers and investors wishing to demonstrate and gain recognition for their knowledge on sustainability-related financial disclosure and analysis.

This Level II preparation course builds on the foundational knowledge from Level I and develops advanced analytical skills, focusing on how to connect sustainability performance with corporate valuation. Participants learn to identify material sustainability-related risks and opportunities, normalize and compare data across industries, and integrate ESG insights into financial models and investment decision-making.

Day 1 – Identifying & Evaluating Sustainability Issues

2. Evaluating Sustainability Issues

  • Applying the Five Factors framework
  • Contextualizing topics within operational and market environments

Day 2 – Data Analysis, Valuation & Exam Preparation

3. Evaluating the Comparability of Sustainability Information

  • Normalizing ESG data for comparative and industry analysis
  • Analyzing data distribution, outliers, and quality
  • Considering operating environment, management, and governance factors

4. Connecting Sustainability Performance to Valuation

  • Identifying financial impacts of sustainability risks and opportunities
  • Channels of impact: revenue, expenses, assets, liabilities, cost of capital
  • Using sustainability data in DCF models
  • Beyond DCF: returns, profitability, scenario analysis

5. Exam Preparation Session

  • Review of key concepts (aligned with Level II blueprint)
