The FSA® Credential, developed by the IFRS Foundation, is the most advanced credential related to the ISSB Standards. It validates expertise in sustainability-related financial disclosure and analysis, positioning professionals at the forefront of the evolving ESG and financial reporting landscape.
Delivered by the University of Sarajevo — an IFRS Foundation Authorized Education Provider — this program offers three flexible pathways to prepare for the FSA Credential Exam (Level I & II). Certification Exam Overview
The FSA® Credential Exam is the final step of the program:
Certification exams are administered by Pearson VUE, the IFRS Foundation’s official testing partner. Candidates may take exams in person at Pearson VUE test centres worldwide or online with a remote proctor.
Exam Format
- Level I: 110 multiple-choice questions
- Level II: 55 multiple-choice questions linked to 13 case studies
Duration & Scheduling
- Each level: 120 minutes
- Standard scheduling: three annual testing windows (Jan–Feb, May–Jun, Sep–Oct)
- Enhanced flexibility: Candidates enrolled through an Approved Education Provider may schedule and take each exam online any time during the year, beyond the official testing periods
Retakes
- Up to 3 retakes permitted
Pathway
- Passing Level I grants the status of FSA® Credential Level II Candidate
- Passing Level II grants the designation FSA® Credential Holder
Note: Exam registration and credentialing are administered by the IFRS Foundation. The University of Sarajevo delivers official preparation, not the exams themselves.
Certification Award
- After passing Level I, candidates are recognised as FSA® Credential Level II Candidates.
- After passing Level II, candidates officially become FSA® Credential Holders.
- Certified professionals are listed in the official IFRS FSA Credential Holders Directory, showcasing global recognition and credibility.

IFRS FSA Certification Exam Pricing
In line with IFRS Foundation policy, the exam registration fee is included in the course price. The final amount depends on the participant’s country income classification (World Bank) and is discounted for candidates who register through an Approved Education Provider such as the University of Sarajevo.
