The Sustainability Learning Institute (SLI) is an international platform for accredited education, certification, and capacity building in sustainability, climate action, and ESG integration.
Founded by the University of Sarajevo through its Office for Climate Change and Sustainability, SLI was established to address a critical challenge:

Our Team & Expertise

SLI is led by a multidisciplinary team of internationally certified professionals in sustainability reporting, climate finance, ESG policy, and institutional transformation.
Our trainers are authorised by global standard-setters to deliver accredited courses and prepare participants for internationally recognised credentials:
- GRI Certified Tutors – recognised by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) to deliver GRI Certified Training Courses and prepare participants for both professional credentials: GRI Certified Sustainability Professional and GRI Certified ESRS Sustainability Professional.
- GARP SCR Tutors – authorised by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) to provide structured preparation for the Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) Certificate, including training in climate risk analysis, scenario modelling, and transition planning.
- IFRS FSA Tutors – licensed by the IFRS Foundation to deliver training in sustainability disclosure and ESG integration, and to prepare candidates for the Fundamentals of Sustainability Accounting (FSA) Credential.
Alongside certified tutors, our team includes ESG analysts, policy advisors, and project leaders with extensive experience in EU and donor-funded initiatives, bridging global standards with regional application.
SLI is a flagship initiative of the Office for Climate Change and Sustainability at the University of Sarajevo.
